This week will be an exciting combination of conferences, meetings, workshops and tutorials in the beautiful Beijing in the heart of the China. We are fortunate to be able to benefit from such an inspirational location. It is a place not only has thick atmosphere of history, but also standing in the front of the development and the time.
Our overall objective has been to provide a forum where researchers and practitioners can report and discuss recent research results in the areas of empirical software engineering and software measurement. We also seek to explore strengths and weaknesses of research methods from an empirical viewpoint and to provide learning and training opportunities so that attendees may benefit from the experiences of others.
So, welcome to ESEIW 2015. We hope you all have a fruitful and enjoyable time.
